land situated ON the circumferencial reef with an enormous internal lagoon open to the
ocean on the leeward side. The highest point of land is 12 feet. At high tide the land
diminishes by about 50%. Here there is beach, 50 feet of reef, breakers, and the deep
blue of the Pacific.
